Writing

Here is a simple explanation of writing stages.  In kindergarten your child could start the year at any of these stages.    Some children will come to kindergarten at stage 1 and some kindergartners come to school at stage 4.  The goal in writers workshop is to move each child through the stages so that they grow as writers. I conference with a small group of writers each day and work on individual writing goals with them during that time.
